Region 23 Complex Fire 40 percent contained

Firefighters have battled The Region 23 Complex incident, comprised of the West Ash and Douthit fires, to 40 percent containment, sources state.

Officials posted the news at approximately 10:05 a.m. through InciWeb, an “interagency all-risk incident information management system.” According to the site, the two fires have burned 73,822 acres, and occupy the attention of 453 personnel.

The estimated containment date is Sept. 7.
