The CAB allocates $2,265, plans for homecoming
The CAB allocated $2,265 for the upcoming Seventh Day Slumber concert and for free movie night at their meeting on Tuesday.
The CAB allocated $465 for the Seventh Day Slumber concert, sponsored by Chi Alpha and Revive. The concert will take place 6:30 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hall’s auditorium. The event is free to students.
The CAB also allocated $1,800 for free movie night. The doors to the movie theatre open at 6:45 p.m. and the movies start at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, Kellie Aye, treasurer, said.
In other matters, President Dani Buckley said that Homecoming would be Oct. 27. Buckley said that the theme this year is Zombie Apocalypse, and asked that students start thinking about a booth for the club carnival on the Dean’s Green and also a float for the parade.
In other business, Darren Burrows, student events coordinator, said that the Kent Hall Kegger will take place at 9 p.m. Saturday. Burrows said that the kegger would have root beer, and there would be party games played.
Ashley Swanson, publicity coordinator, said if any clubs want to advertise an event on the flat screen in the Student Center to speak to her at least three days before that event.
Laure Sinn said that CSC’s celebration of Constitution Day will begin at 10 a.m. on Sept. 17. Sinn said there would be trivia, prizes, and snacks in the Student Center.
Sinn also said that Family Day is Sept. 22. That weekend will also be the only home rodeo meet. The meets are free to students and will be 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the Dawes County Fairground.
