Costumes that will make you scream
Treat yourself to these last minute Halloween ideas
Halloween is quickly approaching. And what’s better than dressing up when you’re supposed to act like an adult?
If you haven’t figured out what you’re doing for that creepy and crazy night, here are some of The Eagle staff’s favorite costume ideas.

Superhero-inspired costumes:
This summer brought about tons of great superhero movies. Because of the box-office records, superheroes (and villains) are super hot.
This year, Batman seems to be kicking Superman out of favorite male costume due to the popularity of “The Dark Knight Rises.” And a super female costume might be the Black Widow from “The Avengers.”
Zombies:
Zombies have become iconic in today’s culture. There are zombie flicks, zombie television shows, and zombie books. Zombie culture makes this the perfect costume. It’s also easy to make. You can use any old piece of ripped up clothing and some fake blood and you’ve got the perfect costume.
Pirates:
Captain Jack Sparrow brought about a sort of pirate revolution. Pirates took over the world of pop culture, and they are here to stay.
Pirate costumes can be cute and fun. For girls, dressing up as a pirate is the chance to wear ridiculously high heeled boots and tight corsets. For guys, it’s the chance to pretend to be as cool as Johnny Depp.
Ghosts:
Sometimes, it’s good to return to your Halloween roots. There’s no shame in a sheet with holes cut in it. A classic Halloween costume like this is both fun and easy.
Last minute costumes:
Take a white T-shirt and write “Go Ceiling” on it. You’re a ceiling fan. Take a black T-shirt and put white strips of duct tape on it, then tape a fork to it. You’re a fork in the road. Carry around an empty picture frame and hold it in front of you. You’re a self portrait. Get creative, there’s always fun, last minute ideas.
