CAB wraps up final meeting of semester, allocates $1,800
The Campus Activities Board allocated money to finals week activities and discussed moving accounts off campus at their final meeting of the semester Tuesday.
Kellie Aye, treasurer, said that they were planning to bring masseuses on campus again for finals week. Aye also said that there would be snacks in the student center during finals week. The CAB allocated $1,800 for both the masseuses and snacks.
Dani Buckley, president, reminded CAB members that all foundation accounts need to be moved of campus by Dec. 31, according to Board Policy 3300. Buckley said that if the funds are not moved to an off campus location, the funds would no longer be accessible to the clubs.
Lane Swedberg, vice president, also reminded everyone that under Board Policy 3300, if a club is switching advisers next semester, their adviser has to be approved by Aaron Prestwich, interim president of student life.
Darren Burrows, student activities coordinator said that the masseuses would be in the student center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of finals week, and encouraged everyone to sign up for a massage, as it is being paid for with student money.
Erica Misner, special and cultural events coordinator, said that the Wind Symphony concert will be 7:30 tonight in Memorial Hall. Laure Sinn said that Chadron’s Native American-owned businesses would be honored at Friday night’s basketball game.
