CAB plans for homecoming

Homecoming, even though it is a month away, has kicked CAB into high gear.

It was announced by CAB Chair Lane Swedberg that the Homecoming Royalty Nominations are due Monday Sept. 23, by 4:00 p.m. Sept. 26 will be the Royalty Nominations’ Photograph session and the actual voting will begin on Sept. 27. Voting will close at noon on Oct. 3. This will all be done electronically and sent to your Eaglemail.

The club bed sheets will also be due by noon on Sept. 27.

In other homecoming news, as a new incentive for a club float for the parade on Oct. 5, the first ten clubs that say they are doing a float will get an extra $100 for supplies.

Another topic brought up was improving CAB itself.

It was decided that there should be a tagline for CAB and the one voted on was, “Different people, different passions, one group” won the vote. Swedberg also asked representatives to email the CAB executive board with any suggestions that would improve the group in any way.

Shellie Johns, CAB adviser, announced that she will be going to Austin, Texas next week for the Galaxy Series to find events, and told club representatives to let her know if they had any suggestions.

Johns also made a reminder that any fundraising that would be going on at athletic events needed to be approved and anyone without approval will be asked to leave.
