Theatre program to tour to area schools

The second theatre production of the department’s 2013-14 season is put on by The Children’s Theatre Workshop.

The class has been working the past semester on developing several different short plays based on stories from different cultures. The show is titled “The World by the Tale.”

Not only is the class meant to teach students how to work in Children’s Theatre, the class has also delved into Viola Spolin’s theatre improvisation techniques.

The group will travel to several different schools in the surrounding area, starting today with Gordon/Rushville and Hay Springs. Nov. 14, they will travel to Hemingford and Alliance, and Nov. 25, they will travel to Crawford and Harrison. The only performance they will show in Chadron will be on Dec. 5.
