NSCS unveils policy violations hotline; callers may remain anonymous
The Nebraska State College System announced the launch of an anonymous report hotline in a Jan. 28 statement signed by NSCS Chancellor Stan Carpenter and CSC President Randy Rhine.
According to the statement, the IntegraReport Hotline Service provides a means for NSCS employees, faculty, and students to anonymously submit suspected violations of policy, procedure, or potentially inappropriate workplace activities 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Kristin Petersen, vice chancellor for employee relations, said Wednesday that the anonymous hotline option is a common approach taken by businesses. She said the hotline gives employees a confidential way to raise questions and concerns about possible fraud, abuse, or unethical behavior. The NSCS will not tolerate retaliation against an employee or student for reporting.
“We are stewards of the public trust and the public resource,” Petersen said, echoing Carpenter’s message from the state of system address last fall.
Minutes from the NSCS Board of Trustees Meeting on Jan. 15, state that IntegraReport was awarded a 2 year contract at $2,500 per year.
The IntegraReport hotline can be reached toll free at 855-858-3344 or filed online at www.integrareport.com.
