Regional schools compete in history day events
The annual National History Day district competition for the region will be from 8:30 a.m.-noon, Friday at this year’s History Day. The competition is made up of two divisions,’ junior sixth-eighth grade and senior ninth-twelfth grade. The competition can be entered as an individual or as a group, with a maximum of five students. Public, private, and homeschooled students are all able to take part in the competition.
The theme this year is “Rights and Responsibilities in History.” There are 80 students from the region they will compete in five categories exhibit, performance, website, documentary and historical paper. Most of the entries can be seen in the Student Center.
