The Big Event registration set for March

The Big Event is set to make its way back to the community this April, and registration is just around the corner. Volunteers can register for The Big Event beginning March 17-April 11. Interested parties can fill out registration forms online on the CSC website (www.csc.edu/thebigevent), on The Big Event-CSC Facebook page, and with the staff members of The Big Event, who will have tables set up around campus.

“The Big Event” allows for students, faculty, and staff of Chadron State to volunteer in numerous ways around the community. The Big Event began in 1982 at Texas A&M University and now takes place on 72 campuses across the country.  Last year marked the first time “The Big Event” occurred in Chadron, and it turned out to be a huge success, with more than 400 CSC students, faculty, and staff coming together to help out.  “It was great to see so many students, faculty, and staff support the community,” Sam Parker, senior of Harrison, event coordinator, said. “This year we hope to make it even bigger.  We encourage all students, faculty, and staff to get involved.”
