Golf team finishes 4th in first spring meet

The CSC golf team finished fourth with a 379 score in their first spring meet at the Montana State University—Billings Yellow Jacket Spring Invite, last Thursday.

The meet was completed on Thursday, due to the bad weather that was forecasted for Friday.

The teams completed the first 18 holes, but wind gusts in the late in the afternoon suspended play.

Schuyler Wetzel, sophomore of Hot Springs, S.D., finished 10th with scores of 42-46 totaling 88 at the end of the meet. Emma Harris, sophomore of Wahoo, finished ninth with scores of 40-47, and a final score of 87. Danielle Brennan, freshman of Ellsworth, finished with a final score of 98, 50 in the first half and 48 in the second half. Cali Crile, freshman of Chadron, scored a 106 going 53 in each half.

The golfers will compete next Monday and Tuesday at Regis University, Denver.
