Eight members of the Public Relations Club took a trip to Minnesota.

The students who went on the trip were James Bahensky, graduate student of Anselmo; Arielle Boone, senior of Buffalo, Wyo.; Justy Bullington, senior of Mullen; Cheyenne Deering, sophomore of Wall, S.D.; Bethany Kroetch, sophomore of Philip, S.D.; Miranda Miles, senior of Gering; Megan O’Leary, sophomore of Omaha; Jocelyn Romey, senior of Oelrichs, S.D., and Casey Sigrist, sophomore of Gering.

“We got to see insight into what we are going into,” Sigrist said, when asked about the experience as a whole.

While in Minnesota the group attended the National Student Advertising Competition District 8. At the competition the student’s observed presentations. The student’s went on PR tours of the Target Stadium and Mall of America. The group got to meet some people who work in their fields of study at big companies such as the stadium and the mall. At Mall of America they had the opportunity to meet the VP of Public Relations, Dan Jasper. The student’s also had a chance to watch the Minnesota Twins play baseball at the stadium they toured. The group seemed to really enjoy themselves on the trip.

“It was a really great experience,” Kroetch said.

“It is nice to see what we will be doing in the real world,” Deering said.
