Give everything for the love of sport
“Find something you love, and go after it, with all your heart,” Jim Abbott stated on his website. A baseball pitcher turned motivational speaker, Abbott was born without his right hand.
He was before my time in baseball, but after watching videos of his playing, I can tell you he loved the game and was thankful for every opportunity he had in baseball. I respect him for having that kind of attitude.
Sports committee picks CSC’s All-century football team
The 2014 football season will mark the 100th season in Chadron State College history and to recognize that momentous occasion, an All-Century Chadron State College Football Team has been named.

Alex Helmbrecht, former sports information director of Chadron State College, is now the director of college relations as of July 1.
Helmbrecht’s position as director of college relations entails that he acts as the head spokesperson for CSC. He is responsible for managing CSC’s public relations staff, and is also the managing editor for the news flow out of CSC.
New student IDs, fob system installed in dormitories
Out with the old and in with the new—a key fob system that is. Familiar to returning students, the former FOB system had students access to their dorms using a small device given to them at the beginning of the semester. This year, students will be able to access entry into their dorms using newly implemented IDs.

Applications for Miss Chadron State College Rodeo are available for all eligible woman.
Some eligibility rules include the contestant be unmarried, currently enrolled full-time at CSC, and between the ages of 18-24.
