Mystery writer heads to CSC for conference
Margaret Coel will be on campus for the annual Pilster Lecture series at 11 a.m., today in the Mari Sandoz Atrium; 7:30 p.m., today in the Student Center; and from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., tomorrow at the Mari Sandoz Center.
Coel is a New York Times best-selling author, most notably known for her mystery series “Wind River.”
There will be a session for interested students to talk with her about writing, publishing, and how she came to be successful.
There will be a Pilster Great Plains Lecture given by Coel called “My Journey With the Arapahos Through History and Mystery,” at 7:30 p.m., today.
From 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Friday in the Mari Sandoz Atrium the Mari Sandoz Conference will take place.
The morning session of the conference will focus on topics related to the history of the western region, Mari Sandoz, and Crazy Horse.
The afternoon session will focus on creative writing.
