Various talents capture audience
With two lights serving as a spot light on the stage in the Student Center lobby, various acts from singing, stand-up comedy, and skits entertained students Thursday for Late Night at The Pit’s Open Mic Night.

More than 10 students took the stage to show the audience what they had to offer while MC Le’Chere Campbell, 21, senior of Bellevue, sang, performed cartwheels, and made jokes between acts.
Freddy Culp, 23, senior of Mililani, Hawaii, played a keyboard while singing a piece he wrote. With a serenading voice he had the audience’s full attention and received a loud applause.
Performing a forensic piece Josh Mayer, 20, sophomore of Lincoln, had everyone on the edge of his or her seat.
A silent audience listened to his every word while he performed a skit about a handicap boy who learns a new perspective from a girl he met.
Her point was to teach the boy how to look beyond physical ailments and focus on a person’s personality and kindness.
At the end of the night the audience was graced with performances from students they knew and students who shocked them with their talent.
