The sports photojournalist turned nature photographer showed students and some faculty pictures of some of his latest work. Kettlewell is working on his fifth book of photography titled “The Spring Creek Chronicles.”

Kettlewell has worked as a professional photographer for 33 years—28 years in print news before making the change to full-time nature photographer. He started out taking pictures of sports and said nature photography was the next logical step. He compared taking pictures of bison and NFL running backs.

“It’s all the same, you just try to stay in focus and try to not get ran over,” he said.

Kettlewell was brought to campus last year for homecoming to be honored as a distinguished alumni but Winter Storm Atlas caused the event to be postponed. He was honored this year.
