Parading around

The “Welcome to the Jungle” homecoming parade strolled down Main Street toward CSC’s campus beginning at 9:30 a.m., Saturday.

Some of the floats participating in the parade included Newman, homecoming royalty, the Residence Life Association, former CSC President Janie Park, and the CSC Child Development Center.

The parade began on the corner of First and Main streets, and ended at the corner of 10th and Main streets.

Participants were able to show off their floats, and hand out candy to spectators if they chose. Some floats focused on the jungle theme with many shades of green grass, brightly-colored flowers, and animal prints.

Others drove vehicles completed with a sign stating their club, organization, or business; some took to their feet like most of the cheerleaders.
