Men’s track and field team ranks 2nd, women 4th in preseason poll

CSC’s men track team is ranked second in the RMAC Indoor Track and Field Coaches Poll. The team earned 68 points and one first place vote.

The women’s team is ranked fourth in the same poll. The women earned 81 points.

One athlete from the men’s team and three from the women’s team were place on the Preseason Indoor Track and Field Team.

Chris Cutcher, sophomore of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Shelby Bozner, junior of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Stachia Reuwsaat, sophomore of Black Hawk, South Dakota; and Kelsy Wood, sophomore of Hemingford; were the athletes chosen for the preseason team.

Reuwsaat was also named the RMAC’s Female Field Athlete of the Week after the Colorado School of Mines Meet on Dec. 13. She set a school record in the long jump, 21 feet, 1 ¼ inches, at the meet. It is the best mark in D-II.
