

The Eagle’s website, csceagle.com, captured first in “Excellence in Digital Medium,” the top award in the digital medium competition of the Nebraska Collegiate Media Association’s Golden Leaf Awards, presented Saturday at the association’s annual conference hosted this year at Chadron State College.

The Eagle staff earned awards in 19 of 19 individual categories, and scored points in 18 of 19 categories.
In the last match of the spring season, the Eagle golf team went out smoking, taking 13 strokes off their previous best. The new team best of 677 was at the RMAC Championships in Avondale, Arizona, enough to finish in 10th place.

The son of an Air Force Colonel, Bird grew up traveling the world. His father was originally from Kansas City, Kansas, which influenced his decision to attend the University of Kansas.

Calling all college ladies who love a good, sappy love story. “The Longest Ride” starring Scott Eastwood and Britt Robertson is now playing in theatres in Chadron. “The Longest Ride” is a movie based on the bestselling novel by the one and only Nicholas Sparks. The story centers around two different love stories that intertwine with one another across time.
