NSCS Board convenes at CSC for fall meeting
Chadron State College is hosting the Nebraska State College System Board of Trustees this week for their fall meeting.
The trustees arrived for the first meetings yesterday. Meeting in the Student Center, the Council of Business Officers and the Council of Academic Officers, who are the respective vice presidents from all the colleges and their counterparts from the System Office, met yesterday. Korinne Tande, vice chancellor for student affairs, marketing, enrollment, and public information, stated in an email Tuesday that these officers usually meet to review board materials and discuss future board meetings.
In an executive session today, the trustees are expected to discuss personnel, litigation, and liability issues. Tande stated in an email Wednesday morning, the information discussed at executive sessions is confidential, but the discussion is limited to personnel, litigation, and liability issues.
Dan Worth and the Bahr Vermeer Haecker Architects will give a presentation of the CSC Athletic Facility Program Statement at 1 p.m., today in the Student Center Lakota Room.
The Academic & Personnel Committee; Fiscal, Facilities & Audit Committee; and Student Affairs, Marketing & Enrollment Committees will have their meetings in various locations in the Student Center at 2 p.m.
The trustees will then be given tours of various buildings on campus. A dinner and reception, where James Wada, associate professor of justice studies, who was named the 2015 NSCS Teaching Excellence Award winner, will be honored.
Tomorrow, the fall business meeting will be at 8 a.m., in the Sandoz Center.
Members are scheduled to discuss the accepting and approving of the Program Statement for the Football Stadium and Track Projects at Chadron State College, according to the agenda for the meeting.
