Golfers earn 10th at RMAC tourney
The CSC Eagles’ golf team finished the RMAC Tournament in 10th place at Fox Hills Golf Club in Longmont, Colorado.
As a team, the Eagles finished day one with a team score 339, and day two 357 for a total of 696. Kelli Haynes, sophomore of Whitney, led the Eagles in the individual category with a 168, tying for 24th. Schuyler Wetzel, senior of Hot Springs, South Dakota, finished the tournament with a 173, only five strokes behind Haynes.
“I didn’t shoot as low as I wanted to this week, so I will be working on my weak spots for the upcoming tournament,” Wetzel said.
Sam Rahmig, freshman of Gering, ended with a 177, tying for 48th place overall. Emma Harris, senior of Wahoo, tied for 51st place with a 178. Karson Langley, sophomore of Sidney, finished 67th place with a 197.
The Eagles will be competing in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at Augustana College on Oct. 3 and 4 for a weekend tournament.
