Families welcome to visit campus

Family Day Weekend will be celebrated this Saturday and Sunday. A pancake breakfast will be served at Memorial Hall Lobby from 7:30 – 10 a.m., Saturday. The Chadron State College band members sponsor the breakfast and there will be a charge to be paid at the door.

Registration for the “Powder to the People” 5k run will begin at 8:30 a.m. The race will begin at 9 a.m. The first 25 runners that register the day of the race will receive a free T-shirt.

The formal dedication of the Rangeland Complex/Coffee Agricultural Pavilion will be at 9 a.m. and the dedication of the Chicoine Center will be at 10:30 a.m.

Those who want to rent the jersey of a CSC player can pick up the jersey from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., Saturday in the Student Center lobby. Payment for renting the jersey must be in the form of cash or a check made out to “Chadron State College.”

There will be a pre-game tailgate BBQ from 10 a.m. – noon at the Chicoine Center Plaza. Reserved BBQ and/or tickets can be picked up in the lobby of the Student Center from 8 a.m. – noon. The payment for tickets must be in the form of cash or a check. Checks can be made out to “Chadron State College.” At the same time, games will be available in The Pit.

At 11:40 a.m., the CSC football players and their parents will be introduced at Elliott Field. The CSC football game against Colorado Mesa University will kick off at noon. During halftime of the game, the cheer team members and their parents will be introduced. At 3:30 p.m., the Eagle Booster Club will host a post-game reception at The Country Kitchen. The reception is open to any parents, alumni, fans, and/or friends of CSC.

At 4 p.m., Saturday, there will be an alumni softball game at the softball fields.

Sunday parents are encouraged to enjoy lunch with their students from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., at the Student Center cafeteria.
