Students dance the night away

The Residence Life Associate, organized Just Dance-a-Thon at 7 p.m., Saturday in the Student Center Ballroom.

Becca Barger, 19, sophomore of Atkinson, and Cody Cooper, 21, junior of Gothenburg, were the organizers of this dance.

“A lot of people asked about this program because it represents different dances and songs from other cultures,” Cooper said.

Students could wear their casual clothes because there was no dress code. Last year, Just Dance-a-Thon was successful, but this time the number of people who visited was low with only about 20 people.

“A lot of people left for football game,” Barger said.

The game was in Rapid City the same day against Black Hills State University. Several students said that they didn’t know about this dance, but they would have come if their friends told them.

In spite of everything, organizers from RLA didn’t get lost, they were dancing, and had fun spending Saturday evening with friends.
