When in doubt, sing it out!
Students performed poems, songs and other acts at 7 p.m., Tuesday at the Open Mic Night held by The Pit.
This is an event held a few times a year at Chadron State College. All students had an opportunity to show their talents, from singing, to reciting their own poetry.
For instance, they could sing, dance, or tell jokes. Nine people took part in it, but there was no prize for the winner this time. Compared to the last year, only 72 people showed up to this event despite all of the efforts of The Pit’s staff.
“I was expecting that more people would come on this event, and took part in it, because last year Open Mic Night was really successful,” Maria Evtodieva, 22, senior of Syktyvkar, Russia, said.
According to opinions of some attendees, they enjoyed their time at the Open Mic Night, and they would like to have it again.
