CAB allocates $900 to alcohol awareness event
CAB allocated $900 to Laure Sinn, B.E.A.M.M.S. and Rangeland coordinator, for food, mocktails, and prizes at the “Partee at the Pavilion.” This event is at the Coffee Agriculture Pavilion at 8 p.m., Nov. 20. There will be dummy roping with impairment goggles, games, food, mocktails, a DJ, and a guest speaker. The guest speaker is a woman who was intoxicated while texting and driving when she wrecked her vehicle. She survived but her friend did not. She is required to speak about this situation as a part of her probation.
Chris Green, CAB adviser, showed the CAB representatives a video sent from Paul Wesselmann. Wesselmann, the Ripples Guy, is coming to CSC to speak from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. for faculty and 7 – 8 p.m., today for students in the Scottsbluff room. Wesselmann asked the viewers of the video to speak up about what challenges are getting in the way of bringing your best self forward. One challenge that was identified is how to engage club members and get new members to join clubs.
The general assembly for Senate and all its subsidiary committees is at 6 p.m., tomorrow.
Free Bowling Night is Saturday. Students will only be allowed to bowl if they have their student ID. Free Movie Night is Nov. 22.
An open forum for an allocation for The Big Event is scheduled for 3 p.m., Monday.
Senate approved the soccer and archery clubs so they are now officially in CAB.
CAB allocated $200 for prizes and refreshments for a soccer club kickoff tournament from 7-10 p.m., Dec. 4.
Green’s student affairs graduate assistant, Ryan Parriott, will be at Walmart from 10-11 a.m. today and next Thursday instead of Green. There will be Walmart run during Thanksgiving week.
There will not be a CAB meeting the Tuesday before Thanksgiving break.
