Wake up and greet the hunting season

That annoying alarm clock is buzzing to get you out of bed. However, it is not the typical wakeup call that screams, “Get to work.” This morning you get to go deer hunting. It’s the one time of the year that you jump out of bed with excitement drooling over, like a dog with a bone. Splash some water on your face, get your warm clothes on that you set out the night before, and brew a fresh pot of coffee.

3 wrestlers earn gold at Laramie

Following the season opener at the Cowboy Open Tournament Saturday at the University of Wyoming, Terrance McKinney, sophomore of Spokane, Washington, 149-pounds, earned D2Wrestle.com National Wrestler of the Week, RMAC Wrestler of the Week, and Super Region Four Wrestler of the Week. McKinney scored a 14-3 major decision in his first match, pinned his next three opponents and received a forfeit in the finals.

Local children enlightened by Science Days at CSC

Science enthused third, fourth and fifth grade students excitingly entered the Math and Science building early Saturday morning. They enjoyed a day with CSC science and education majors as they learned about sending rovers to Mars. They plan to explore a simulated Mars landscape and even tiny Martians, with hopes that their rover will complete the mission. The elementary school students would get the opportunity to video chat with Greg Peters, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory Research Staff of Pasadena, California.
