If you have ever wanted to see a velociraptor stomp around on stage while Paula Deen makes some buttery food, Whose Line Is It Anyway: Chadron State College Edition is the event for you.

RLA attempted to recreate the show in Chadron Monday by duplicating four different games for students to try their hand at playing. For people who aren’t familiar with the show, an episode of the improv group was shown to the 27 participants. Game one was “Living Scenery,” a game where four volunteers got up on stage with two of them acting as living props while the other two proceeded to tell a story involving the props. Game two was “Scenes From A Hat,” where four individuals were given different categories to show examples of.  Game three is known as “Quirks,” where a number of different volunteers acted out characters for one volunteer to guess. The final game was “Let’s Make A Date,” an event similar to quirks where three actors were given different roles for a single volunteer to guess.

The final two events had the biggest reaction with people demanding more. When the pre-made suggestions ran out the crowd was called upon to make their own suggestions. Briana Utley, 20, junior of Loveland, Colorado, and a Residential Adviser in Edna, was given the opportunity to act out the parts of a “crazy cat lady” and a velociraptor.

Lane Swedberg, 23, senior of North Platte, was given the opportunity to act out himself in the “Let’s Make A Date” portion of the game. He stated that his favorite part was playing Justin Bieber in the same event.

Zach Henderson, 22, senior of Douglas, Wyoming, and Senior Residential Adviser in Edna, said his favorite part of the event was Utley being a velociraptor. As the handler of the event, he felt that the entire event went really well with many participants. In the future, they hope to expand this event to have teams volunteer beforehand.
