CSC student arrested

Police arrested Chadron State College student, Brandon T. Mills, 19, freshman of Corona, California, accusing him of one count of distribution of a controlled substance (marijuana) and transported him to Dawes County Jail Thursday afternoon, according to a Chadron Police Department press release issued Friday. Mills is no longer in the Dawes County Jail as of Wednesday afternoon, according to a Dawes County Court spokeswoman. Mills’ new court date is set for Feb. 17.

The release states that police arrested Mills following “three controlled purchases of suspected marijuana” by the WING Drug Task Force. The purchases were from two different individuals, Mills, and a 17-year-old juvenile male.

WING and other law enforcement agencies also served a search warrant Thursday at Mill’s Chadron State College dormitory room, there police found less than one ounce of marijuana, according to the press release.
