RD presents on financial aid

Nine students attended a Financial Aid Awareness event in the Gold Room Monday.

The group of students was offered an hour-long presentation (complete with PowerPoint) on aspects of financial aid offered CSC. Excerpts from the presentation include the FAFSA, grants, loans, work study, and a reference to the 169 scholarships offered to students.

Brittany Senecal, 24, RD of High Rise from Aurora, Colorado, presented to the group and managed the event. Door prizes were handed out to attendants of the event using a random number generator to determine the winner. Prizes included a USB drive, a set of plastic drawers, and a rug.

Pamphlets were also offered at the event for additional information. Students who wish to learn more about financial aid are encouraged to visit the START Office in Crites Hall, room 114.
