Thirty-four teams of two stepped into The Pit, Thursday, knowing that one misplaced shot would keep them away from the pool tournament victory.

The Student Center was packed with 158 people who came to watch the tournament. The championship game came down to a single misplaced shot that hit the eight ball into the pocket, resulting in a scratch.

The winners of the tournament went home with one Visio sound bar each, and the second place team members a wireless iHome each.

There were many different teams that competed in the event, but one particular team matchup stuck out to Robert Jackson, 23, senior of Savannah, Georgia.  His favorite game of the night was when a team deeming themselves as “The Winners” got boastful and lost to “The Losers Squad” in the first round.  Jackson served as a referee for the event.
