Bargen resigns as men’s basketball head coach

Head men’s basketball coach Brent Bargen has resigned from his position, effective June 30, 2016, Athletic Director Joel Smith announced today (Tuesday, March 15).

Bargen spent 10 seasons with CSC, owning a record of 78-186. Last season, the Eagles were 7-19, 5-17 in the RMAC.

In his tenure at CSC, there has been 10 All-RMAC players, and five honorable mentions. Bargen has also coached two academic All-conference players, and nine players reaching the conference honor roll. He also recruited or coached 37 players who have went on to play professionally, usually overseas.

A national search to fill the vacancy will be conducted according to Smith.
