Connealy resigns as women’s head basketball coach

Athletic Director Joel Smith announced the resignation of Head Women’s Basketball Coach Tim Connelly Tuesday (March 15). The resignation will be effective June 30, 2016.

Connealy holds a record of 58-152 in his eight seasons as head coach. Last season, the Eagles were 8-18, 8-14 in the RMAC.

Under Connealy, the Eagles have produced an all-American, Kailin Petri (2011-2012) nine all-conference players, six academic all-Americans, and a large number of players on the Honor Roll. In 2010 and 2011, the Eagles were No. 2 in the nation for team GPA.

A national search to fill the position will be conducted.
