Egg-cellent

With Easter under a week away, the Resident Life Association decided to give the students something to look forward to by throwing an Easter egg hunt in the Student Center.
The Easter egg hunt was at 8 p.m. Tuesday, with about 50 people showing up to the event. The event had good attendance because of the prize giveaway at the end of the night. Contestants could win smaller prizes easily, but the real enticing prizes such as a 32-inch TV had to be won through a raffle and only people who previously won could be eligible for it.
There were multiple games that could be played during the evening; including matching paper Easter egg cutouts, the actual Easter egg hunt, Bingo, and a game that involved four people trying to get a hula-hoop from one person to another.
“My favorite part of the event was trying to collect and find as many Easter eggs as possible hoping that at least one of them had a golden egg in it so I would be able to win a big prize,” Kishawn Tualaulelei, senior of Kailua Kona, Hawaii, said.
The prizes she mentioned were the 32-inch TV, a Galaxy Tablet, and a vacuum cleaner which were all claimed by three lucky students. The student who claimed the 32-inch TV at the end of the night was Kate Chesterman, sophomore of Bertrand. Although she claimed the biggest prize, a gang of other CSC students won the other prizes.
Daniel Sullivan, junior of Omaha, who also works with the RLA also commented on the event.
“I think the event went really well because we had a big turnout, people seemed to enjoy themselves and everything went as planned,” Sullivan said. “The turnout didn’t shock me though due to the past success with the program I figured there would be a nice turnout.”
