CAB executive board positions are up for grabs

Election nominations for CAB executive board are due Tuesday and close April 12. CAB representatives will vote for officers at the CAB meeting April 12. Senate will vote to approve the executive board members at its meeting April 18. The new officers will be sworn in during the CAB meeting April 19.

Clubs have spent $88,037.38 and have $67,721.86 remaining in their accounts. CAB had spent $10,475.07 and had $4,724.93 remaining in its account at the beginning of the meeting.

Money is available for clubs to host booths at the circus on April 9.

Free Movie Night is Sunday. There will not be a Free Bowling Night for the rest of the semester.

Nathaniel Brown, AFB member, said he would be emailing club leadership that was indicated in the club packets by 8 a.m. Thursday.

If clubs notice a cut in the amount from what they were asking for, the club can file an appeal to [email protected] by 11:59 p.m. Friday. Appeals will be heard beginning at 6 p.m. Monday. The clubs will be given hearings on first club, first available time slot basis.

The Board plans to present its recommendations to Senate on Monday, April 11. Student Senate will have the final say on how much money is allocated to each club at the Senate meeting April 18.

CAB allocated soccer club’s $100 seed money to go toward its soccer tournament April 15.

Green asked clubs to bring ideas for next year’s Homecoming theme and activities to CAB meetings. He also asked clubs to bring ideas for New Student Orientation and Week of Welcome activities.

Chadron Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Bands on Bordeaux for the third year every Thursday in July. Bands on Bordeaux is an event where bands, venders, and games on Bordeaux Street are available to the community.  Market Development Director Danielle Lecher said NSO on Bordeaux will be Thursday, August 18. Green said NSO on Bordeaux will go with NSO and Week of Welcome and there will be bands, food, venders, and games at the event that is open to the community, students, and new students and their parents. If clubs want to host booths at NSO on Bordeaux, they should contact Green.
