CAB approves sorority after much discussion

Alpha Sigma Zeta was approved as a CAB-affiliated club.

Discussion, mainly between Xi Delta Zeta and Alpha Sigma Zeta, was broken up by CAB Chair Stephanie Steele saving, “If you look at other large schools they have multiple fraternities and multiple sororities that are not taking away from different groups. This seems like an interpersonal conflict between the sororities so I feel like that should be addressed outside of CAB.”

Senate offers support to change Board Policy 3400

Senate President Katrina Hurley and Student Trustee Mikayla Gallagher said the Trustees are looking for support from Senate to possibly change Board Policy 3400 concerning the Board of Trustees scholarships. They are trying to change it so students who receive the scholarships can use their tuition waiver for summer classes or more than 16 credit hours a semester. Students would be able to use it for 128 total credit hours. Senators will vote on this at the next meeting.

Eagles end season 8-18, losing last game to Regis

In the final game of the season the Eagles matched the Rangers of Regis University, Denver. Although the playoffs were no longer in the picture, they went into the game wanting to send their seniors out with a win. The Eagles played hard and made several runs hoping to tie or take the lead but could not overtake the Rangers, who are currently No. 4 in the RMAC conference tournament, and eventually lost 70-58.
