Chadron State’s football team drew its spring season to a close 10 a.m. Saturday, at the annual Spring Football Game. The offense squared up against the defense during the fun scrimmage at Elliott Field.

The Big Event shows students’ support of community
The day was warm and sunny at most times, when Chadron State students and faculty set out to make a difference in the Chadron community Saturday. While some volunteers worked at one job site, others were able to finish jobs in good time and move on to help with other projects. This was the case with the volunteers that helped hang the net batting cage at Chadron’s baseball fields, located just off Main Street.

Eagles clinch No. 3 seed in RMAC tourney
On the final regular season series, the Eagles split the four-game series with the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Eight seniors were honored in their last home games with CSC. On day one, the Eagles won the first game, 7-1, but lost the second, 2-1. During the second day, the Eagles earned a come-back victory 5-4, but lost the second in extra innings, 8-5.
