All-American long jumpers Damarcus Simpson, sophomore of Lafayette, Georgia, and Stachia Reuwsaat, junior of Black Hawk, South Dakota, earned RMAC honors this week after the Colorado State University-Pueblo Open. Both won the men’s and women’s long jump, respectively. Simpson jumped 24 feet, 1 inch, and Reuwsaat jumped 19-2 3/4.

The Social Science Club, in collaboration with CAB, hosted its semi-annual debate Tuesday in the Student Center Scottsbluff Room. The debate centered on Second Amendment and if it applies to ones self-defense.

Senate President Katrina Hurley said the Book Ends Coffee Shop in Reta E. King Library is losing about $20,000 per year. Kathy Stokey, administration and finance office assistant said Dale Grant, vice president of finance and administration, said the coffee shop is losing $26,000 per year and right now Vice Presidents Charles Snare, of academic affairs, and Jon Hansen, of enrollment management, marketing & student services, are taking that loss from their state accounts, according to Grant.
