CAB votes for Homecoming king and queen candidate

The main order of business at Tuesday night’s CAB meeting was nominating and voting on a Homecoming queen and king candidate.

Vice Chair of Programming Morgan Carrico, rugby representative Madison Reece, and NAMI representative Katie Tobin were nominated for the CAB queen candidate. CAB voted in Carrico by a show of hands.

Vice Chair of Finance Gavan Archibald and strength club representative Zander Casillas were nominated for the king candidate, with Archibald winning the vote.

Senate approved a $16,428 budget for CAB Monday night. CAB spent $2,232 on Free Movie Night last Sunday, and the rest will go toward events for the rest of the semester.

Next Archibald reported that the total spent by clubs was $13,748.26, and the total remaining is $190,755.95. Archibald still needs one more CAB member for AFB.

Chair Molly O’Connell urged the remaining clubs that have not filled out the info survey to do so as soon as possible.

Phi Beta Lambda representative Tierra Snyder announced that bell ringing for the Salvation Army will begin in November and any clubs interested in volunteering can contact her.

Broc Anderson, social sciences club president, organized a powwow in Alliance for this weekend. There will be a bus leaving at 9 a.m. Saturday, to take any interested students.

Tobin announced that clubs can raise money for the Out of the Darkness suicide prevention cause, and the club donating the most will receive a prize.

Vice Chair of Relations Trista Schell is still looking for volunteers to serve at Closer to Home.
