CAB recaps Homecoming

The CAB meeting Tuesday night was a reminder for clubs to take part in Homecoming activities. The bedsheet contest is required for all clubs, and participation in the parade is optional.
There are four categories to submit your bedsheet under: Originality, People’s Choice, School Spirit, or Humor. The club taking first place in each category will receive $100. The bedsheet is due noon Friday in the CAB office.
The Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at coronation 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. After the ceremony, bedsheet winners will be announced, followed by the lighting of C-Hill.
The parade will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8. The first-place float will receive a trophy.
Any club that participates in the parade will get an extra entry in the CAB drawing for $300. Every club will get at least one entry in the drawing for submitting a bedsheet.
After Homecoming was covered, Vice Chair of Finance Gavan Archibald reported that the total spent by clubs is $15,288.56 and the total remaining is $189,250.67.
The total spent by CAB is $1,987.68 and their total budget remaining is $14,440.32.
Vice Chair of Records Aaron Eagle announced that Wii Game Night is 8 p.m. Friday in the Student Center. Clubs voted by a show of hands for “Just Dance,” “Mario Kart” and “Smash Bros” to be the games played at the event. There will be prizes for the first and second place finishers of each game.
Vice Chair of Relations Trista Schell said that Oct. 11, 20, and 30, are open dates to volunteer at Closer to Home.
