Gryffindor for the win

J.K. Rowling’s first “Harry Potter” book was released nearly two decades ago and not only is her series the most popular in publishing history with 450 million copies sold worldwide, according to thedailybeast.com, but her imaginary game, Quidditch, has become a reality around the world and at CSC, minus the flying broomsticks and magical balls, of course.

Volleyball team grabs 1 win in SD

The Eagles pulled off another win against South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rapid City, South Dakota, Friday. The win boosted the RMAC standing to 3-4 and their overall record to 4-12, leaving the Hardrockers with a 1-17 record and a RMAC standing of 0-7. The Eagles were unable to sweep the weekend, losing to Black Hills State University, Spearfish, South Dakota, in three sets Saturday.

Homecoming festivities kicked off Monday, Oct. 4, with a pep rally in Armstrong Gymnasium. The event was originally planned to be outside, but due to a poor weather forecast, was moved inside.

Posting 470 yards of total offense and 5 rushing TDs, Trailblazers trample Eagles

Dixie State University, St. George, Utah, blazed its trail through Chadron Saturday, defeating CSC 44-27 at Elliott Field. Dixie State scored in every quarter in the match-up, while CSC didn’t find the end zone until the second half.

CSC cowboys dominate CWC rodeo

The CSC cowboys made an impressive show this weekend at the Central Wyoming College rodeo in Riverton. The men earned enough points to claim the men’s team title and land them second overall in the Central Rocky Mountain Region.
