Steal Away with Steele

Being a road trip warrior sends your excitement for a long car-ride through the roof. Not everyone gets a sense of euphoria with prospects of a road trip. Building motivation to sit in a car for 10+ hours can be hard.
Make your next road warrior expedition easier by
using these road trip essentials.
1. Switch up drivers.
About hour six at the wheel makes losing focus on the road easy. Taking turns driving keeps the driver alert. Having an alert driver reduces the risk of car accidents and adds excitement. Changing seats enables everyone to sit in new positions. Moving around also reduces stiff muscles from a long trip.
2. Lots of water.
Dehydration is not a fun addition to a trip, bringing a gallon jug of water and reusable water bottles are a must. Helping people stay hydrated, to cool down the car if it overheats, and a plethora of other options, all are benefits from gallons of water. Another plus, refilling a gallon jug of water costs less than buying a bottle of water at a gas station.
3. Stop to see sights.
Photo opportunities are everywhere. Take advantage of scenic overviews on a drive. The opportunity to see that unique landscape might not happen again. Stopping to explore makes unique stories and breaks up the monotony of a car ride.
4. Pack wisely.
Limit luggage for the road trip. Every group has an over-packer. Limiting luggage creates more space for a comfortable ride for everyone. An easy rule of thumb is one reasonable sized suitcase and one personal bag like a bookbag or purse. One pillow is an additional limit, especially when camping.
5. Stock the car.
Keeping the car well stocked with snacks, gum, napkins, and other accoutrements prevents future headaches. Not having to constantly stop for snacks saves time and money. Numerous stops for snacks can extend a six-hour drive to seven in no-time. Reducing the number of gas station stops also makes huge improvements to any trip.
May your travel blessings be bountiful
