Students bowl frozen turkeys for soda, pie
Students bowled frozen turkeys behind the complex at 3 p.m. Friday.
Resident Adviser Whitney Coop, 20, junior of Columbus, led the Turkey Bowling event. Approximately 20 students showed up to Turkey Bowling. There were tarps laid down horizontally on the basketball courts. Two-liter bottles filled with water were used for the bowling pins. They used full-sized frozen turkeys for the balls.
If someone rolled a strike or a spare, they received prizes. The prizes they received were 2-liter sodas and individual pies.
The door prizes that were drawn for were cake or cupcake pans with cake mix, footballs, canned pumpkin, and pumpkin spice coffee.
“It supports the RAs and it shows the freshmen that there are people here on the weekends,” Megan Lucht, 20, sophomore of St. Paul said. “There is fun stuff to do on the weekends.”
