Steal Away With Steele

Whoever created the idea of spring break is a true hero to all college students. The close proximity to winter break and tax return season gives students the opportunity to save money for a spring break trip. Taking a trip during break can help you network, learn more about a new place, and make a memorable break from rigorous classes. You can also grow personally when you venture away from the safety net of school which forces you to become more self-reliant. Students on spring break have a distinct air of fearlessness while exploring a new city.
Spring breakers are easily recognizable in common spring break destinations, like Myrtle Beach. A usual distinction is a group of at least four 20-something’s sporting clothing with their college logo while sticking extremely close to their compatriots. One easy place to spot spring breakers is anyplace offering something for free; a prime example is free pancake day at IHOP. The Myrtle Beach IHOP was slammed with slightly sun burnt spring breakers eager for free pancakes.
When you find yourself among the number of traveling college students seeing fellow spring breakers you feel a sense of kindred spirit. All of you are striking out in unfamiliar territory with only each other. Spring breakers need to stick together. To make your network of support that much bigger. It can be as simple as reassuring someone they look stellar, spreading the news about a deal, or sharing your designated driver.
During spring break 2017 our group had the opportunity to extend a helping hand to another spring break clan from Wisconsin. Traversing down a main Myrtle Beach road we saw the six-man clan hitchhiking. Chatting with our new companions provided us an opportunity to share our differing college experiences. This encounter made our spring break experience unique and saved them another hour of walking to their hotel. Taking chances to help your fellow travelers makes the world a little brighter and hopefully your act of kindness will be paid forward.
May helpful people and sunlight find you.
