Zeta Alpha Kappa hosted a Sip and Color event Thursday night in the Ponderosa Room, as part of rush week.
The sorority served white grape sparkling juice cocktail among other refreshments, as prospective members colored Dr. Seuss coloring pages and visited with the members. Dr. Seuss was the theme the ZAK members voted on for the entire rush week, according to ZAK President Sam Merrill, 20, sophomore of Pierre, South Dakota.
“I thought Sip and Color was a good way to talk and get to know more people,” ZAK member Megan Rust, 19, sophomore of Chadron, said.
Merrill said the sorority acquired five new members, bringing the total to 32. There are still a few undecided prospects.
ZAK was established at CSC one year ago and its pillars are personal and professional growth of women, academic growth and success, and leadership development.
