Man, the struggle is real…

Long-distance relationships are a struggle.

My boyfriend and I met in March 2015 and spent little time together before leaving for the summer; we stayed in touch that summer but rarely saw each other. The next August, when we got back to school, we started dating. He graduated at the end of that semester. He stayed around Chadron for a few months, working here, but then he took a job four hours away from CSC, where he is now.

Being in college and growing in this rapidly expanding hub of cultures has exposed me to numerous ways of thinking and ways of living. I grew up with a set of values that mandated once in a relationship you’re committed to that person and must not look at any adult materials (porn) or other people, as such behavior would be unfaithful and infidelic.

On April 6, President Donald Trump sent 59 tomahawk cruise missiles into a Syrian airbase. The alleged reason being that he was appalled by the chemical attack that the Syrian government launched on its own people, killing more than 80 people. According to CNN, President Trump wanted nothing to do with Syria two years ago, but after a recent statement by his son Eric Trump, it has been discovered this bombing was urged by Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump.
