CAB chair advocates suicide awareness

CAB chair Trista Schell encouraged students to be mindful of the signs of suicide.
“I want to remind you guys, that as student leaders, we should be aware of other students, and what they are going through,” said Chair Trista Schell. “We want to know and look for warning signs, and just be aware. Spread positivity, and positive vibes.”
Kevin Hines will speak on Nov 14, at 7 p.m. in Memorial Hall. Hines, a Golden Gate Bridge (jumper) Survivor will tell his story in hopes to promote suicide awareness, and intrigue others to “love the life we have been given.”
“There are 600 seats, and we are looking for all of them to be filled,” said Schell. “So, encourage your fellow club members, and other students to go.”
CAB has a current budget of $13,569.50 in unallocated funds. In another matter, the Spring Daze committee is contacting bands, and continually seeking recommendations for other entertainment. In another matter, if clubs have any seniors who are graduating in December, CAB representatives should email Vice Chair of Records Kristina McGann, so that CAB can begin to order graduation cords.
CAB is also looking for help to run Casino Night on Dec. 1.
“We are still looking for help to run it,” said Vice Chair of Records Kristina McGann. “RLA has reached out, but if any other clubs are wanting to help, let us know.”
The next two Free Movie Nights are set to take place on Nov. 12, and Dec. 10. The Salvation Army Bell Ringing will begin the first week of November.
