Senior art show to open Monday

The senior art show “Happy Accidents and Oddities” will be displayed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. starting Nov. 20 through until Dec. 8 in Memorial Hall.
Seniors Rebecca Barger of Atkinson Brooke Nelson of Philip, South Dakota, and Tory Snyder of Pierre, South Dakota, will be featured in the show.
Pieces in the show will include assignments and other works that the seniors have worked on.
“This is the stuff we really love and that came out well,” Nelson said.
While the show includes abstract art, it also includes pieces that focus on ranch life, like landscapes and animals.
“A lot of [the show] will fit in this area’s ‘theme,’” Barger said. “There also might be something new that [the audience] should experience.”
A reception will be held on Dec. 1 from 4-6 p.m. to honor the the artwork and the three seniors before they graduate or head off to student teach.
