Senator election ballots to be released in April

“Petitions are turned in,” said Chief Justice Samantha Merrill. “We had nine people petition, and seven of them are senatorial positions, and two of them [are] for executive positions. Keep an eye open for elections which are April 18-20.”
Senate has a current budget of $99,582.75 of in allocated unspent funds. In unallocated funds, Senate has a budget of $147,524.99.
Senate allocated $10,000 to CAB towards the rest of their budget they requested back in January. The budget is broken down in $8,000 for four movie nights, $6,400 for four bowling nights, $2,000 for Spring Daze Event, $2,000 for the Big Event, $1,000 for two small events, and $600 for miscellaneous fees. The budget was split between two payments.
“Tierra and I do start budget hearings this week, so if you have a club and they haven’t told you when you are supposed to be going, check with them because it is pretty important that you are there,” said Vice President of Finance Lukas Klueber.
In another matter, Senate hosted a laser tag event on St. Patrick’s Day.
“Laser tag went well,” said Secretary Konnery Klueber, “So, if you didn’t come, I’m sorry for you because we had fun.”
Free Movie Night had a turnout of 93 students. CAB will be partnering with the Psychology club to host a PJ Pizza Party from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight, in the Hub.
“We will be showing Split,” said CAB Representative Kimberly Hernandez, “and there will be door prizes.”
From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, CAB will be hosting Free Bowling Night.
“There will be pizza, so we hope to see you guys at both events,” said Hernandez.
The Spring Daze committee has a table set up in the Student Center for students, and their clubs to sign up to help volunteer at Spring Daze and sign up for Mr. and Mrs. Spring Daze. Almost all of the contracts that need to be signed for various events at Spring Daze have been signed. The MC’s for Mr. and Mrs. Spring Daze will be Jon Murphy, and Katie O’Boyle.
Senate discussed and finalized AFB Bylaw Revisions, and CAB Bylaw Revisions.
