Campus and community collide

Showcasing and recruiting.
Those were the two overriding themes of CSC’s annual “Uptown on Campus,” Wednesday in the Student Center Sandhills room.
Organized by CSC Activities Coordinator, Megan Northrup, the event saw 34 regional business touting their companies and recruiting students.
Northrup said the event enables local businesses to showcase their businesses and provide new and returning students an idea of the variety of businesses in the area, which among others included boutiques, coffee shops and volunteer opportunities .
While most of the businesses were from Chadron several came from the region, including Alliance.
Among the businesses were Verizon Wireless, Lighthouse Tattoo and Piercing, North Western Community Action and Double Q Country.
