After a summer of anticipation as renovations to Don Beebe Stadium and Elliott Field were made, fans and players had to wait a bit longer than expected Saturday evening as heavy rains delayed the Eagles’ opener by two hours. The long wait, however, didn’t stop the team from coming out strong and cruising to a 45-8 victory over rival Black Hills State.
