CAB announces plans for leadership training
CAB Adviser Megan Northrup announced plans for an organization and adviser training set for October.
Two tentative dates, which include 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, and 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, have been proposed. At least one member from each organization is required to attend. The training sessions will cover elements of budgeting and how to go through steps in accounting, reimbursements and price sheets.
Bedsheets for Homecoming will be due 4 p.m., Monday. The sheets can be picked up in the Student Senate Office. This year’s theme is “The Rock.” CAB is allocating $50 toward paint for each organization doing a float, but if an organization chooses to opt out of a float they will not receive these funds.
Student Trustee Dawson Brunswick gave a quick report of Saturday’s Board of Trustee meeting. He relayed everything went smoothly.
Adviser Deena Kennell announced the U.S. Forest Service was hosting a Hiring Blitz to talk with students about more than 900 job opportunities available next summer in Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas and South Dakota. Kennell said regardless of discipline the event would be beneficial to attend.
Free movie night is scheduled for this Sunday. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m.
